AGILITY BEGINNERS Introducing the Obstacles
Description:
Run, jump, climb, zoom through tunnels – that’s what agility is all about. In the sport of dog agility, the handler directs their dog through an obstacle course in a race for both time and accuracy. The Intro to Obstacles class introduces your dog to the agility obstacles: A-Frame, dog-walk, jumps, tunnels and chute, in a safe and positive manner.
Prerequisites:
  • This group class is not appropriate for dogs with aggressive behavior
  • Puppies must be at least 6 months of age, and WILL NOT be allowed to jump anything above the height of their elbow.
  • Class size is limited and priority will be given to K9 Manners & More COEDS and Model Citizen graduates

AGILITY ADVANCED BEGINNERS
Description:
Continuing from Intro to Obstacles
This course is about introducing handling skills and sequences. Dogs also begin to learn the seesaw, and weave poles.
Prerequisites:
  • Completion of at least 4 weeks of Intro to Obstacles, with instructor recommendation to advance. Not all dogs are comfortable with the equipment after just 4 weeks, and it is important not to rush the process! Many students repeat Intro to Obstacles at least once.
OTHER AGILITY COURSES
Description:
Our instructors teach many levels of agility teams. We evaluate your skills to determine the class best suited to your skill level and progression.
Prerequisites:
  • If you have been in K9 Manners & More agility program, your instructor will work with you to determine the best class.
  • If you have been training somewhere else, you can set up an evaluation for class placement
