Cancellation and Rescheduling:
Private Lessons: we would appreciate 24 hours notice if you are not able to keep
your appointment for your private lesson.
Refunds:
There are no refunds after you have attended your first class. If, in the
opinion of the instructor, the dog should not be in a group class, the remainder
of the class fee will be applied to Private Lessons.
Training Pass Extension:
We may grant an extension in the case of emergency or illness. We are unable to
extend passes for vacations or having their pet spayed or neutered, but we will
extend a pass for females in season. If classes were cancelled due to inclement
weather, or holidays, you will automatically receive an extension.
Payment:
We accept credit card payments through PayPal, or you may pay by check or cash.
Discounts:
Rescued dogs are eligible for a 10% discount on Puppy Kindergarten Class fee or
Training Pass.
Missed Classes:
Puppy Kindergarten: If you miss a class, you can make it up the next time that
module is offered. Or we can email or snail-mail the lesson plan to you.
Levels or other classes: If you miss your regular class, just come the next time
the class is offered!
Bad Weather Policy:
If the Broken Arrow Public Schools are closed due to snow or ice, K9 Manners
& More will be closed, too. If in doubt, call the training center at
451-8446. Don’t place yourself in jeopardy if the roads are not safe to
travel! If class is cancelled due to adverse weather, we will schedule a class
make up session.
Children in class:
Children must be at least 9 years old to handle a dog in a class situation. The
parent or guardian must attend with the child and be willing and able to assist
as requested by the instructor. Younger children are welcome to attend with
their family, but must be well mannered. It’s helpful to have a person other
than the dog handler minding the child. We ask that they not pet or interact
with dogs other than their own, unless directed by the instructor. Safety is our
first concern!
Vaccinations:
All dogs attending lessons and classes must be current on DHPP (distemper/parvo),
Rabies, and Bordetella (kennel cough). In addition they must be free from
external parasites such as fleas.
Females in estrus (“heat”):
We do not permit females in season to attend Levels classes. In advanced,
conformation or competition classes, they may attend but must wear “britches”.
Many female dogs are so hormonal during this time that they should just stay
home!
Guarantees:
Because of variables in dog breeding and temperament and owner commitment and
experience, we cannot and trainers should not guarantee the results of his/her
training. If you are dissatisfied with our professional services, please discuss
your concerns with your instructor or with K9 Manners & More’s owner and
lead trainer, Mary Green.
